Executive Director

Kamron M. Spivey

Kamron M. Spivey serves as Executive Director of The Generals Redoubt, where he manages Fancy Hill, strengthens university and community relations, directs historical research, and oversees organizational strategy.

A native of Lexington, Kentucky, Kamron earned his B.A. from Washington & Lee University in 2024, graduating magna cum laude with Honors in History and completing additional studies in Classics and Poverty & Human Capability Studies. He was named to the President’s List during all four years of his undergraduate career, received departmental recognition, and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, Eta Sigma Phi, and Phi Eta Sigma.

Kamron is widely recognized for his extensive contributions to student publications, most notably as Editor-in-Chief of The W&L Spectator for two years, where he now continues to serve as a Director. Through investigative reporting and historical inquiry, he developed a deep passion for the legacy and traditions of Washington and Lee — a devotion he hopes to inspire in the rising generation of W&L Generals.
