Alumni Weekend at Fancy Hill
Written By Kamron Spivey
Over 50 alumni and friends gathered at Fancy Hill during our Open House on Saturday, May 3. Guests assembled in the Fancy Hill Office, which opened on Founders Day, to enjoy breakfast and coffee. There they got to see our growing library of Civil War and Revolutionary Studies, our podcasting studio, and much more.
Kamron Spivey, Campus Director & Research Fellow, conducted 5 tours over the course of the day through the nearly-finished public space. Guests learned about the multipurpose history of Fancy Hill, and how The Generals Redoubt intends to utilize each parlor and room to further advance Washington and Lee history and traditions.
